Leeds legend Hunter sells off career memorabilia

Former Leeds United and England defender Norman Hunter is to sell off a collection of football kit and medals won in his celebrated career, reports BBC Sport. The 69-year-old, who had the nickname 'Bites Yer Legs' due to his tough tackling, was a key man in Don Revie's great Leeds side of the late 1960s and 1970s.

His haul of medals includes those he was awarded for Leeds' First Division titles in 1969 and 1974.

Hunter says: "I have been privileged enough to enjoy a long and successful football career. Over the years I've accumulated many keepsakes and whilst these have been important to me, I am now in a stage in my life where I want someone else to benefit from them."
