Leeds United hope to welcome Fiorentina midfielder Josip Ilicic to Elland Road in the coming days.

TMW says Ilicic's camp have been in regular contact with Leeds chairman Massimo Cellino over the past month.

The midfielder is keen on moving to England and is also interesting Aston Villa. However, Leeds are firming as his most likely destination.

Ilicic will meet with Fiorentina owner Andrea Della Valle this week to discuss his future and the chance of moving to Leeds.

An initial loan agreement is the most likely option.
