Leeds United are close to signing permanently Stoke City midfielder Michael Tonge.

Tonge is on the verge of joining Leeds United, says the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The midfielder, who was on loan at Elland Road last month, looks set to join The Whites on a two-and-a-half year deal from Stoke and Neil Warnock expects he will be available for the clash with Barnsley on Saturday.
