Leeds United chairman Ken Bates has spoken of his pride at last weekend's 1-0 FA Cup third-round victory over Manchester United. Bates told the club's official website: "It was tremendous. The whole thing was fantastic. It was a great performance.
"I told Simon (Grayson) a few days before 'nobody is expecting anything - go there and enjoy yourselves', but he said 'we're not going there to enjoy ourselves, we're going to get stuck in and get among them'.
"And so it proved. We out-fought them, we out-ran them, and we out-tackled them."
