Leeds United chairman Ken Bates is delighted for Roberto di Matteo over his Chelsea Double.
The former Blues owner signed Di Matteo as a player for Chelsea in 1996.
He said: "Robbie is a great individual.
"He showed tactical nous under difficult circumstances.
"Was it very emotional? Not really. I was watching it dispassionately, curious as to how it would go. But I'm delighted, for the club for Robbie and the fans.
"The supporters were magnificent. Cech had a great game. Drogba was the man of extra time and Frank Lampard is a great captain."
