Leeds United chairman Ken Bates has attacked Premier League players and their agents.
Bates revealed how a proposed deal for an unnamed Premier League prospect would have cost Leeds close to £1million in wages over the season.
Bates said: "There is the young player who has never played in the first team of his Premier League club and was out on loan last season, earning £5,000-a-week.
"His young agent demanded no less than £14,000-a-week which would have cost the club about £850,000 per annum. Some players and their agents are totally out of touch with reality."
