Leeds United boss Brian McDermott is urging Sam Byram to stay.

Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and Crystal Palace have now joined long-term admirers Man City and West Brom in a summer scrap for Byram’s signature, says the Daily Star.

McDermott said: “Sam’s right up there, he has got real talent and composure and he is a great lad.

“He has the mentality to go as far as he wants to go but in my opinion he needs to be playing games for us and developing his career at Leeds.”
