Leeds United are in the hunt for unhappy Fiorentina midfielder Josip Ilicic.

The Express & Sport says Villa could gazump Leeds for Slovenia midfielder Ilicic, and take him into the Premier League.

The 26-year-old has fallen out of favour at Serie A club Fiorentina, who bought him from Palermo in 2012 for around £6.5million.

The Viola are willing to allow him to leave on loan in the New Year, although Torino are also keen to keep the playmaker in Italy.
