​Leeds and Celtic target Arsenal youngster Akpom

Leeds United and Celtic are battling it out for Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom, according to the Sun.

The 21-year-old, who has had loan spells with Brentford, Coventry, Nottingham Forest, Hull and Brighton, is reportedly to keen leave the Gunners on a permanent move.

Leeds want Akpom as a replacement for Chris Wood who has left for Burnley in a £15m move while Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers wants him to compete with Mousa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths for a striking role.

Akpom, who has been with the Gunners since the age of seven, managed only four senior appearances for them.
