Lee in West Ham frame as he leaves Liverpool

Sammy Lee is being linked with West Ham United.

The London Evening Standard says Lee, who has left his job as Liverpool assistant manager, could reunite with his former Bolton boss Sam Allardyce as there is a vacancy as first team coach at Upton Park.

Kevin Keen, who briefly took over as caretaker manager at the end of West Ham's relegation season and made a play for the permanent job, is staying with the club - but not with first team duties.

It means his first team coach's job is vacant and Lee would jump at the chance to move in.

Allardyce has his former Blackburn assistant Neil McDonald as his No.2 but needs another close confidant on his coaching staff and Lee may fit the bill.
