Lee Chung-yong scored for Bolton but the Championship side were held to a 2-2 draw by Premier League outfit Sunderland in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.
The South Korean international midfielder put the Trotters ahead in the 12th minute at the Reebok Stadium when he swept home a first-time touch from Carlos Cuellar's inexplicable backpass across the six-yard box to stun the Black Cats.
Soon after the half-time break, Bolton had a two-goal lead when Marvin Sordell added to Lee's opener but Connor Wickham and Craig Gardner saved the day for Sunderland who scored twice in 15 minutes to book a third round replay.
24-year old Lee has now scored five goals this season for Bolton with four of them coming in the Championship.
