Lee Marrs happy learning from senior Sunderland teammates

Sunderland defender Liam Marrs is happy to be learning from his senior teammates.

Right-back Marrs, who graduated from the club's Academy during the summer, played the full 90 minutes of the 1-0 win over Bolton alongside the likes of Craig Gordon, Michael Turner, Ji Dong-won and Fraizer Campbell.

"It's great to play alongside experienced players," he explained to safc.com. "They have played in the best league in the world so they know what they are talking about.

"Having them helping you is like having an extra man. Plus, by playing alongside them you can see the standard you have to reach as a professional.

"All the senior players have a lot of experience and the younger players know we can count on them to help us."
