Lee hoping Bolton can maintain momentum

Bolton Wanderers winger Lee Chung-yong hopes the club can maintain their good recent form as they continue their climb up the table.

The 22-year old South Korea international was on target as the Trotters demolished Newcastle United 5-1 at Reebok Stadium on Saturday but has warned his teammates against complacency going forward.

"It was a great win for us," he told the club's official website.

"Every game in the Premier League is tough. For us to come away with three points against a side like Newcastle is very pleasing and we're all happy.

"Every single player is giving it their all and that's all you can ask for. We are still in the middle of the season and there is a long way to go and we all know that.

"We've got to keep doing what we're doing and hopefully we can maintain our momentum."

Lee admitted he was a bit fortuitous to score his 39th minute goal when the ball fell to him after a poor clearance by Newcastle defenders and added that he was keen to get straight back out onto the park for the next installment of Bolton's surprise start to the season.

"My goal was a little bit fortunate. I was in the right place at the right time and the ball just came to me," he added.

"Of course I was still happy to see the ball hit the back of the net, but the players around me deserve credit for their work.

"I'm very pleased with the result, as the team are. I can't wait for the next game to come along now.

"We're enjoying our football and I just want to get back out there again."
