Manchester City legend Francis Lee believes Mario Balotelli can turn the club into a top four contender.
The £25m striker has been injured since making a goalscoring debut as a substitute away to Timisoara last month and is due back towards the end of next month after a knee operation. And Lee, still an occasional visitor to Eastlands, can't wait to see him.
"I am really looking forward to seeing the new guy Balotelli play," Lee told the Manchester Evening News. "We need a big, powerful, strong centre-forward who can lead the line.
"If we get that, with all the talent around him, this team will take some holding. In the modern age, the lead striker is the fulcrum of the team.
"The goalkeeper is the most important man but the team is dominated by the man who leads from the front and if you have a Torres or a Drogba you can build a team around him.
"Tevez is the perfect foil for a big, clever, quick player. If Balotelli comes in and moves people around, Tevez is the man who will use the gaps. It's the perfect situation for Carlos - I'll bet he is rubbing his hands."
