Joe Ledley is looking forward to seeing more of the same from Tony Watt following his two-goal Celtic debut on the weekend.
The 18-year old came off the bench to score two goals in two minutes as the Hoops beat Motherwell 3-0 at Fir Park yesterday and now Ledley is hoping his teammate can come on in leaps and bounds just like James Forrest has done in the past 12 months.
"He got his chance today and grabbed it with both hands. We're buzzing for him.
"He's a goal-scorer, that's what he does. He's trained with us a few times and has done well so he deserves his opportunity.
"It's great at this stage of the season to see the young players come through and get their chance.
"You need to give them the opportunity to play and on this performance. There's a lot like him in the youth side.
"We've got a really good set-up here with a few players ready to come in and play their part.
"There's a lot of good players for the future here.
"It's a massive phase in the development of these guys. Look at James Forrest. He's now classed as one of the first team lads.
"You hope Tony can go on and show the same willingness to learn and hopefully try to develop. He's a grounded guy so I don't see any reason why he won't.""It was fantastic for Tony, a great debut for him. All the players and coaching staff are very pleased for him," Ledley said.
