Mathew Leckie stole the show as FSV Frankfurt defeated Optik Rathenow 3-1 in the first round of the DFB Pokal (German Cup) on Sunday.
The 22-year old Australian attacker scored two goals for Frankfurt as they moved into the second round at the expense of the lower league club who managed to make life difficult for the 2.Bundesliga outfit.
Leckie made it 1-0 in the 21st minute when he slotted home from inside the six-yard box before Rathenow struck back through Hakan Cankaya just after the hour-mark.
The contest was forced into extra-time, with it ending 1-1 after 90 minutes, and that is where FSV took over with Leckie's 113th minute header and Edmond Kapllani's 117th minute goal giving the visitors the victory.
Leckie has now scored three goals in two appearances so far this season following his opener in the 2-1 league defeat to 1860 Munich last week.
