Lech Poznan confirm Fulham talks over Lewandowski sale

Fulham are ready to table a bid for Lech Poznan striker Robert Lewandowski.

The News of the World says Roy Hodgson has been keeping tabs on the Lech Poznan striker for some time and, despite the outstanding form of Bobby Zamora, is willing to bring another attacker to Craven Cottage.

Andy Johnson's injury problems have been a concern to the Cottagers boss and Lewandowski is viewed as the ideal hitman to provide competition for places and an alternative option in the forward line.

Contact has been made with the Polish club and the player is keen to move to West London.

"It's true, there is interest on the part of the club [Fulham]," said Lech coach Cezary Kucharski. "We are expecting a concrete offer soon."
