Le Tissier positive about England depth under Hodgson

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has given a glowing approval to the squad depth available to England manager Roy Hodgson ahead of Euro 2016.

According to Le Tissier, performances from the likes of Eric Dier and Dele Alli in the 2-0 win over France at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday have given selection headaches to Hodgson.

Le Tissier told Sky Sports: "I don't think he's found his best side but what's good that's come out of it is that it's given him more options.

"The more options he can have going into those Euros, the better it's going to be for England. The more people he gives a chance to, the more people that do well, and then the more difficult his decisions are going to be and it's going to make his job a lot tougher."

"I like the fact that Roy's gone with young players because the earlier you can get these players in the quicker they can get experience, and that means the more years you'll get out of them at the top level of international football."
