Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier can't see an English manager wanting to work at St Mary's.

Saints legend Le Tissier reckons Nigel Adkins was sacked on Friday because he was too popular.

Le Tissier, who played at Saints his whole career, insists an English manager would not accept the job.

He said: "I'm not sure they would put up with working for Cortese."
