Lazio striker Goran Pandev admits that Tottenham Hotspur were after him but he insists he would like to remain in Italy.
Several clubs have been interested in the forward and the Premier League side were keen in his services.
However, Pandev admits he has no intention of leaving the Stadio Olimpico before 2010 when his current deal expires.
"Yes, it's true, Tottenham were after me because they wanted a striker to replace Dimitar Berbatov," said Pandev.
"However, president Lotito has said that he will not listen to any offers and so my intention is to remain at Lazio until 2010.
"Only after this date will I take into consideration offers from other clubs."
