Lazio striker Goran Pandev has described winning at Dinamo Bucharest as like playing in the "pits of Hell".

Pandev celebrated the crucial second goal by raising his hand to his ear in front of the Red Dogs' faithful.

"I did that because we were playing in the pits of Hell," the Macedonian claimed. "We are a young side, but we showed a great maturity to win in this atmosphere.

"All that Rossi told us to do at half-time was to be calm as we are the stronger side."
