Lazio are confident closing a deal for Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz today.
Il Messaggero says Lazio expect to complete Santa Cruz's signing this morning. City boss Roberto Mancini confirmed an offer had arrived for the Paraguay striker after yesterday's defeat to Sunderland.
Lazio are ready to fund the deal by selling Mauro Zarate to Fiorentina.
The Argentine firebrand has also been linked with Tottenham.
