Lazio midfielder Joseph Minala has been cleared over claims he lied about his age.

The Italian Football Association (FIGC) has ruled Minala is in fact 17 and not 42 as was reported.

A report earlier this year stated that the Cameroonian was 42 and not 17 as he had claimed to be, which prompted an investigation from the league's federal prosecutor.

"The investigation did not show any need for disciplinary action," said a statement on the FIGC's website.
