Real Madrid are ready to offer Julio Baptista in part-exchange for Lazio attacker Goran Pandev.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito confirmed last week that "Real Madrid have offered me a footballer" in talks over Pandev, though he refused to name the player.

Macedonian sources say Real were willing to include Javier Saviola in their offer for Pandev, but Lotito and his sports director Walter Sabatini have demanded Baptista be the player to arrive in exchange.

The sticking point for Baptista could be Lazio's lack of Champions League football for next season.
