Former Chelsea and West Bromwich Albion boss Roberto di Matteo is set to be offered the job at Lazio.
The Mirror says Di Matteo has been identified as the prime target to replace Vladimir Petkovic, who has agreed to take charge of Switzerland after the World Cup.
The chance of getting back into the big-time would represent another home-coming for Di Matteo, who initially joined Chelsea as a player from Lazio in 1996.
