Newcastle United midfielder Florian Thauvin remains hopeful of signing for Lazio.

Aquile director of sport Igli Tare confirmed in a Press conference that even though Marcelo Bielsa had walked away, they were continuing to work on some transfer targets.

Sky Italia says Thauvin has been told to wait for Antonio Candreva's departure to be made official.

He spent this season on loan at Olympique Marseille and could be offered a permanent deal there.

Candreva is in advanced talks with Napoli.
