Lazio striker Mauro Zarate insists he's committed to playing for Argentina.

Zarate's representatives have touted him to Italy.

But the striker said: "My mother is Italian. I have Italian citizenship and I have not played for the Argentinian national team, but my wish is to play for my country.

"I have no doubts that I would like to play at the World Cup with Argentina."
