Tommaso Rocchi has jumped to the defence of Lazio teammate Mauro Zarate after his strop on the weekend.

"I don't think that reaction was voluntary and should not be interpreted in a negative way, which is of course what always happens," said the Italian.

"A player is never happy when he is substituted, I know that all too well. The important thing, though, is to always behave in the right way towards your teammates.

"Everyone wants to play, but the only thing that counts is that Lazio win."
