Lazio striker Miroslav Klose was thrilled to lift the Coppa Italia after victory over AS Roma last night.

The German has been a revelation for Lazio this season.

"I think this is different to everything else in my career. When you see these fans and this staff working behind the scenes all year, we have to thank them.

"You play football to get something in your hand and so it was important to lift the trophy. We worked all year and this was the result.

"I think we put in a great performance, though Roma were also strong and fought hard. I'm happy we won at the end."
