Lazio striker Julio Cruz is ready to retire after this weekend's final round of the season.

The former Bologna and Inter Milan hitman has barely played this term following a free transfer to Lazio.

His idea right now is to retire in the summer," agent Jorge Cyterszpiler told Calciomercato.it.

"This season he has had so many problems with his back and is really thinking about leaving football behind.

"At the moment that is the plan. We will see what happens later on."
