Lazio have turned down a loan bid from Arsenal for veteran striker Miroslav Klose.

The German international had emerged on the Gunners' radar late in the transfer window but his Italian club had no interest in sending him away.

Former Bayern Munich ace Klose has netted five Serie A goals in 15 outings for the Roman side this season.
