Talk of Juan Veron returning to Lazio has been dismissed by Lazio president Claudio Lotito.

Veron enjoyed great success as a player at Lazio, and was part of the title winning side of 2000.

Lotito, speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss, said: "I don't like comebacks.

"I don't want to act as an apologist for all the criticism aimed at my administration, but it seems that lately many players are saying they'd like to return.

"Maybe they understood that they made a mistake in walking away in moments of difficulty."

Veron, currently with Estudiantes, had reportedly said that he'd like to return to Lazio to end his career.
