Lazio president Claudio Lotito is prepared to secure Stefan de Vrij to a new deal - with the view to selling him next summer.

The Dutchman is off contract in June and being linked to Juventus, Inter Milan and Liverpool this week. He can sign a pre-contract with a foreign club from January 1.

However, TMW says Lotito is willing to seek a compromise with De Vrij.

Lotito wants to secure the defender to a new deal, but is also willing to include a buyout clause to allow De Vrij to leave at the end of the season.

De Vrij has welcomed the option, with Lotito wanting a €40m clause, while the player's camp are seeking €25m.
