Lazio president Claudio Lotito has refused to taunt city rivals AS Roma over their poor season start.
Roma currently sit in 17th place on the Serie A table.
"One should never rejoice in the misfortunes of others," said Lotito.
"The ups and downs in football are there for all to see, unfortunately, the results do not depend only on the quality of the team but very often on imponderables.
"We live day to day, the important thing is that the team maintains this kind of focus and cohesion.
"Against Milan we will need the same intensity as in the last days, the team must deploy all its potential. Then every game is a story unto itself."
