Lazio president Claudio Lotito was proud of his team after Wednesday night's 2-2 draw with Real Madrid.

"We dominated against one of the best sides in Europe," Lotito said. "We deserved to win and Real President Ramon Calderon even told me so.

"We missed four great chances, while they scored with a set-piece and on the counter-attack.

"Things may not have been going so well lately, but we can still hold our own against anyone in Europe."
