Lazio president Claudio Lotito insists coach Vladimir Petkovic's job was always safe.
Lotito was speaking before their 1-1 draw at AC Milan.
"We certainly had a few problems due to injuries, so we need to rediscover the confidence in our abilities and the mentality of a united group," Lotito told Mediaset Premium.
"The club never considered replacing the Coach."
