Lazio president Claudio Lotito has admitted interest in Sampdoria wing-back Reto Ziegler.

The Swiss comes off contract in June.

"Ziegler is a perfect match for Stephan Lichtsteiner and they play together in the Swiss national team," said Biancocelesti President Lotito.

"This is an advantage for both the players and the team. However, current Ziegler is a Sampdoria player.

"It is our general policy not to make moves against the desire of the club. If Sampdoria want to sell, then we are ready, otherwise he can stay there."
