Lazio president Claudio Lotito has blasted the agent of defender Modibo Diakite.
Diakite is on the brink of signing for Napoli as he comes off contract in June.
"There are people, so-called agents, who are taking action to suit their needs," Lotito told Sky Sport Italia.
"Behaviour which causes damage to the sport and their own players. This is the logic of a mercenary and history shows that mercenaries have lost all wars.
"Savini has become the agent of Cavanda, Diakite and Icardi. All three players are in similar situations and have a common denominator.
"If a player stays at the same club then they don't bring any economic advantage to the agent, who undoubtedly benefits when a player leaves on a Bosman free transfer.
"We offered Diakite 850,000 a season plus bonuses, while he today earns 250,000. He would have been our highest paid defender despite the fact that he still has to prove his worth."
