Lazio are eyeing released Southampton defender Martin Caceres.

The Uruguay international signed a six-month deal with Saints last season, though isn't being kept on by new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Former Juventus defender Caceres, now fully fit, has been offered to Lazio over the past 24 hours.

Lazio chief Igli Tare is now considering the proposal.
