Lazio sports chief Walter Sabatini isn't overly confident that goalkeeper signing Juan Pablo Carrizo will gain his Italian passport in time for him to be registered.

"We are working on the documents for the passport of Carrizo, in Italy and in Argentina," said Sabatini. "But, sincerely, I do not know if we will have time to complete everything."

With Carrizo classed as a non-European, Lazio may be forced to return to the market for a new keeper.
