Italian club Lazio will keep tabs on Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz after failing to get him on loan in the transfer window.
The Paraguay international's agent, Jan van Baal, insists that his client will continue to give everything for City after he was included in their 25-man Premier League squad but admitted that Lazio were still showing interest.
"There were problems with Lazio, and the deal did not happen for this reason," Van Baal told calcionews24.
"Santa Cruz is a great professional and he will give everything for Manchester City."
van Baal added that the failed move for Santa Cruz could not simply be heaped on the shoulders of Lazio president Claudio Lotito.
"Does the fault lie with Lotito? Everyone can be to blame, depending on your point of view," he said further.
