Lazio midfielder Lucas Leiva has welcomed Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus.

Lucas believes Ronaldo's arrival will lift the entire Serie A.

The midfielder told RMC: "Nice, I think it's great for the championship, he's the best footballer in the world and those who will play against Juventus will be more wary than before.

"In the meantime, we have to train well, we have new players, the team is strong and we had a good season last year.

"We hope to do well this year too."
