Roberto Ayala is being linked to a Serie A return with Lazio said to be keen on the former Napoli and AC Milan defender. Currently in Spain with Real Zaragoza, Ayala is highly regarded and despite having one year to run on his current deal, he is still highly saught after.

Ayala has enjoyed a renaissance in recent times and Lazio coach Delio Rossi reportedly considers the Argentine veteran as an alternative to the likes of Siviglia, Diakite or Rozehnal.
