Former Lazio captain Paolo di Canio has urged his old club to move on from Roma skipper Francesco Totti's 'thumbs down' gesture.
Lazio officials are demanding Totti be suspended for his behaviour after Roma's derby win on Sunday.
But Di Canio says: "It's a very normal thing. It's unpleasant, but that's ok.
"Those people who live the derby recognise something right in such gestures, just like Lazio fans who hope Roma don't win the Scudetto.
"Totti hasn't insulted anyone or made vulgar gestures. He hopes Lazio go in Serie B, and that's ok in a derby like today's."
