Lazio's legal chief Gianmichele Gentile is confident that Argentine goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo will be granted a European passport before the summer transfer window shuts next week.

"We are optimistic for a positive solution within three or four days," he said last night. It's been suggested Carrizo could turn to Germany after having an application for an Italian passport rejected.
