Lazio are launching a £9 million bid for Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh.
Italian sources say Lazio have made Chamakh, who has not scored a Premier League goal since November, their No.1 summer transfer target.
French club Marseille and an unnamed English club are also understood to be keen on the striker, but Lazio president Claudio Lotito is ready to sanction an offer worth around £9m at the end of the season.
Chamakh played down talk of a move to Marseille last week.
