Lazio are in talks with AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.

TMW says negotiations have kicked off with Lemar's agents, with Lazio president Claudio Lotito eager to make a splash in the summer market.

Lemar turned down offers on deadline day last year from Liverpool and Arsenal - and remains of interest for both Premier League giants.

However, Lotito is unperturbed and prepared to bid big to bring Lemar to Rome next season.

For his part, Lemar is now ready to leave Monaco - though Lazio's failure to qualify for next season's Champions League could work against them.
