Lazio are in talks with Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva.
The Sun says Lucas is being eyed up by Italian club Lazio to strengthen their midfield, a move that could be made easier as he already holds an Italian passport.
The Liverpool legend started only 12 games last season and came on from the bench a further 12 times.
With the Reds securing their Champions League place, by finishing fourth, there could be even fewer opportunities for Leiva in the squad.
The No 21 has been positioned as a centre-half under manager Jurgen Klopp, but with the likes of Can, Henderson and Wijnaldum in midfield he has struggled to find a place.
