Lazio fullback Aleksandar Kolarov has welcomed interest from Real Madrid.

Kolarov is a favourite of new Real coach Jose Mourinho.

"Obviously it is an honour to have my name continually linked with these sides, although in truth neither club has yet contacted me," he told Marca.

"I know that last season it was said Mourinho wanted me at Inter and now he has gone to Madrid.

"We'll see what happens, but at the moment I want to focus on my national side, as having a good World Cup at the age of 24 could be a big boost to my career."
