Lazio face Al Sadd challenge over Zarate transfer
Lazio face more player contract problems.
Following on from their row with Cristian Ledesma and Goran Pandev, comes a complaint made by Al Sadd over the manner of Lazio's deal for Mauro Zarate.
Lazio signed Zarate in the summer after a successful spell on loan in which he scored 13 goals in 36 games in Serie A, helping the Biancocelesti win both the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup.
La Gazzetta dello Sport says Al-Sadd feel Zarate was worth more than Lazio paid for him and they are now seeking £5m in compensation.
If FIFA were to find Lazio at fault, then they could be fined or even suspended from making any signings on the transfer market.
